My Picture

OK, seriously, you actually want to know more about me? If that's really the case, you should probably on my facebook friends list and be able to get more info there. I'll try to give some basic info for those few people who avoid social networking at all costs.

My name is Christopher (Chris) Casey, and I was born on December 22, 1979. I was born and raised in Plymouth, MI, a suburb of Detroit. From 2005-2013, I lived at Polo Club Apartments in Farmington Hills, MI, another suburb of Detroit. In 2013, I moved to my current residence in Allen Park, MI, yet another Detroit suburb.

I went to Our Lady of Good Council school in Plymouth from 1st-8th grade. I then proceeded to Detroit Catholic Central High School, graduating in 1998.  After high school I enrolled at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, completing BS in Computer Science in Fall 2001.

While earning my degree, I was employed by UM-Dearborn, helping two faculty members from the School of Education (now the College of Education, Health, and Human Services) create some of the first online courses ever offered on the campus. After graduating, I worked as a computer salesperson/senior at Best Buy until 2005. I then started working at Circuit City as an in-store PC Technician, then an In-Home Technician, and finally the Lead Technician until the company unfortunately went out of business in 2009. I then started a full-time position at back at the University fo Michigan-Dearborn School of Education, first as a Computer Consultant, and then as an Instructional Lerning Assistant. That lead to my current position as the University Coordinator of Digital Education in the UM-Dearborn Provost Office.

Even though my career at Circuit City was cut short when they went out of business, working at their Taylor, MI store allowed me to meet the love of my life, Robyn Reddig. As our friends and family know, we were friends for quite a few years, before becoming a couple in 2013. On October 18 2014, I proposed to Robyn, and she said yes! We are currently busy planning for our wedding on September 24, 2016. So many things to decide on, but we are doing pretty well so far!

When I'm not working or sleeping, I love to spend time with Robyn, our families, and friends. I enjoy going out to dinner, seeing a movie at MJR Digital Cinemas or on Netflix, watching some TV, playing fun party or strategy games, and doing home improvement or woodworking. I also love going to amusement/theme parks (Cedar Point, Universal Orlando, Disney World, etc) or just going on vacation in general.
